at 10.00 this morning through the deserted streets of the Hill of Lucoli just are polished by the work of sixteen of the scouts who had come from Rome, Largo Iannini we were greeted by the scene of an act vandalism perpetrated in the night.
Someone had fun in breaking the pots with plants placed outside of houses, plants, frozen, the only evidence of a community that no longer exists. Some were avid breaking and destroying what remained to witness of a life ended in April 2009: a plastic curtain torn to pieces, a lamp, iron, cement vessel, a wooden bench scale a walk in the country and left on the stairs that start from the garden.
This is a stunt?
We can not but note the unholy combination of the two times of the events described: the cleaning of the country voluntarily abandoned by the people and any refuse collection service and the act of vandalism that casts a dark shadow defile again returned to the Dignity citizenship.
's why we have informed the police of the event by inviting them to make an inspection.
Boys Scout Group "Armaggeddon" have again helped to put in order, but the damages are, as well as the disappointment and frustration that this event has captured the minds of those who have volunteered to help others in restoring dignity to even a small fraction destroyed by the earthquake but not yet finally died ..
There are many themes and reflections consequent on which you could open a public discussion: Fraction of the safety of property unoccupied, closed culture that leads to contempt for what civically shared, preserved and nurtured, as efforts by the institutions in tackling these phenomena ... ...
The lifeblood seems to flow more to Hill, but his village is not a body which wreak havoc, it is for this reason that we turn to the municipal administration, primarily because it has all the tools to protect in its power to this part of Lucoli and, then, to know how many are motivated to preserve and protect not only their real estate but the culture and traditions of a human nucleus from which descend to be more diligent in controlling person of this town that looks dead.
The first request to the Mayor of Lucoli we do is to restore public lighting damaged by the earthquake, the darkness has always been complicit in many crimes including those to the houses of their fathers.
In the meantime, we hope that the investigations undertaken by the Authority shall give the result and hoped that once identified the vandals are put to the public pillory.
