COMPETITION FOR A MOSAIC OF THE FOREST AND MEMORY

The Wood Memorial to remember the earthquake of 2009 has become, in the minds of developers, project deeply rooted in the life of the City of Lucoli and the nearby town of L'Aquila, through the efforts of those who participate to its realization and love of members of NoiXLucoli Onlus for products of human creativity and the Environment.
The objective of this contest is aimed at spreading the mosaic art inside the memorial trees, the works will be placed near the trees, wishing so stubbornly intellectual propose a meeting between nature and art and wanting to reflect visitors produced by children on the pictorial beauty and artistic works that are of importance in the Community and in the spirit of each human being who knows of them capture the charm and aesthetic value.

The competition has educational value wanting to correlate the opportunity to enjoy the friendly presence of art works, immersed in nature, exhibited in close alliance with the trees. The mosaics of children, placed on the website dedicated to the memory of the victims of the earthquake, will be an incentive for a cultural creative approach by the younger generations of Lucoli and L'Aquila, who lived through the earthquake and that will be so involved in the design concepts of symbolic memory those who are no longer connected to the refreshing sense of Nature. It also wants to foster in students an artistic inspiration based on the concept that there is absolutely nothing outside of man's most precious nature and nothing in it more important than conscience. If nature and consciousness can not coexist in most cases is the responsibility of the bad conscience. Therefore it is important to spread the values \u200b\u200bin a community ecology and respect for Nature .

The competition is aimed at creating a mosaic to be set in a park relating to the subject and Aquila Territory Lucoli affected by the earthquake where more than one year after Nature has taken its course and harmonic where man can act with view to improving the healing environment.

best work, chosen by a specially appointed selection panel, will receive a prize and will be displayed on the site of the "Woods of Remembrance" on stands.
The goal is to create a sort of permanent exhibition of the mosaics that is synonymous with the boys back to life, rebirth and hope to build for the future.

This activity is a great result of collaboration between people of the territory, not only with regard to the valuable work of teachers, but also for those who have agreed to form the jury of the competition which includes artists, teachers, a representative Rome City Council and the Mayor of Lucoli Valter Chiappini.
